McKinney City Council evaluates redevelopment strategy for former city hall and development sites

The McKinney City Council Work Session on August 5, 2025, focused on the future of two vacant city buildings and the potential for redevelopment in downtown McKinney. Council members expressed a desire to avoid repeating the previous request for qualifications (RFQ) process, which had not yielded the desired outcomes. Instead, they suggested focusing on enhancing the infrastructure and addressing parking needs to better position the properties for future development.
