Roswell Mayor Honors Corporal Chris Collins as Esteemed Veteran

The Roswell City Council held its regular meeting on July 28, 2025, where a significant highlight was the recognition of Corporal Christopher Collins as an esteemed veteran of Roswell. The meeting commenced with Corporal Collins leading the Pledge of Allegiance, setting a patriotic tone for the proceedings.

Mayor Curtin Wilson presented a proclamation honoring Collins for his dedicated service to the United States Marine Corps and the Roswell community. The proclamation detailed Collins' military journey, beginning with his enlistment in August 2005, followed by rigorous training and two combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His leadership and valor earned him multiple honors, including a combat meritorious promotion and the combat action ribbon.

After his honorable discharge in 2009, Collins transitioned to law enforcement, serving first with the Atlanta Police Department and later with the Roswell Police Department. He continues to contribute to the community through his business, North Fulton Pressure Washing, and charitable efforts, notably supporting Camp Twin Lakes, which aids children with special needs.
