Roswell City Council Approves $32K Agreement for Crabapple Oaks Pavement Repair

The Roswell City Council meeting on July 29, 2025, focused on key infrastructure improvements and community support initiatives. The council discussed an agreement with the Crabapple Oaks Residents Association to address unfinished pavement work in the Clamico Oaks subdivision.

During the meeting, it was revealed that the subdivision developer had not completed necessary pavement repairs, prompting the homeowners' association (HOA) to request assistance from the city. The estimated cost for the remaining work is approximately $32,242. The city has already received $21,000 from the developer's bonds, leaving a balance of $11,167, which the HOA has agreed to cover. The city plans to utilize its maintenance team for minor curb work and hire a contractor for the pavement resurfacing.

The agreement, which was unanimously approved by the council, will allow the HOA to finalize the plat, transferring responsibility for the public right-of-way to the city. This collaboration highlights the proactive efforts of the HOA, led by Mr. Stroud, who established the association specifically to facilitate this project.

In addition to the pavement discussion, the council also considered awarding a contract to Jason Lau Construction LLC for renovations at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building. The proposed contract amounts to $362,008.83, with a total budget authorization of $434,410.59. This project aims to enhance community facilities and support local recreational activities.
