Although some historical structures have been uncovered, such as foundations from the original camp, plans indicate that these may be removed as the project progresses.

Looking ahead, the next phase involves work mandated by the Army Corps of Engineers in wetland areas, scheduled to begin in mid-August. This phase is expected to last until October, with further grading planned for the following spring.
