Lennar Homes Reveals Mixed Residential Development Plan for Crown Point Community

In the heart of Crown Point, Indiana, a vision for a new community is taking shape, as representatives from Lennar Homes presented their ambitious plans to the City Plan Commission. The meeting, held on April 28, 2025, was marked by a collaborative spirit, with a team of experts outlining a proposed planned unit development on a sprawling 164-acre site.

The presentation began with a warm introduction from the Lennar team, led by Todd Cleven, the vice president of land for the company. Cleven, a Crown Point native, expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing its potential benefits for both the city and its residents. "I feel all the stars are aligning, and this might be a win-win for everybody," he stated, setting a hopeful tone for the discussions ahead.

The proposed development is designed to offer a mix of residential options, moving away from the traditional cookie-cutter approach to homebuilding. Following this workshop, the team will return with a preliminary plan and a PUD ordinance for public hearing, allowing for community feedback before moving forward to the city council.
