The proposed pergola is designed to complement the existing craftsman style of the home, featuring square pillars that match the front of the house and replacing wrought iron elements with square rails.

Commission members raised questions about the materials, specifically the roofing, which will consist of corrugated metal, while the structure itself will be primarily wood. After addressing these inquiries, the commission voted to recommend the proposal for approval to the city council, with a unanimous vote in favor.
