Collierville's Historic District Commission has made significant strides in enhancing community engagement and transparency through the launch of an updated development activity map. During the recent meeting on July 24, 2025, officials announced that the revamped map, which aims to provide more accessible information about local development projects, is now live on the town's website.

The new map features a user-friendly design, optimized for mobile devices, and includes more visual content to engage residents. It allows users to easily navigate through various projects with fewer clicks, making it simpler to find relevant information. Notably, the map introduces "development stories" for larger projects, offering detailed histories and future plans, which officials believe will be of great interest to the public.

In addition to the map update, the commission discussed the potential revival of preservation awards in collaboration with Main Street. This initiative aims to recognize and celebrate local projects that contribute to the community's historic character, fostering excitement and interest in preservation efforts.

The meeting also touched on the upcoming installation of a new mural on the side of a local bank, scheduled for September 25. This project is part of a broader effort to enhance the town's aesthetic appeal and promote local artists.
