Global Scholars Share Academic Journeys at UC Graduate Program Presentation

During a recent meeting at the University of California, discussions highlighted the diverse backgrounds and academic journeys of several PhD candidates, showcasing the rich tapestry of experiences that contribute to the university's research community.

One candidate shared their journey from Chicago to King's College London, where they studied pharmacology and molecular genetics before returning to UC Davis for their PhD. Another candidate, originally from Puerto Rico, emphasized their passion for math, which led them to pursue advanced degrees at Rhode Island College and UC Riverside, while also serving in the National Guard.
