In another key decision, the board adopted Resolution Number 8, granting the town of Cumberland permission to encroach into the right-of-way of the Smith Young regulated drain. This encroachment will facilitate the replacement of a lift station and the installation of a service drive, which includes sanitary sewers and a concrete lift station. The Department of Public Works (DPW) reviewed the town's petition and confirmed that the proposed improvements would not disrupt the operation of the regulated drain.
