Little Rock Trojans Baseball Team Honored for Historic 2025 Championship Season

The Pulaski County Quorum Court meeting on July 22, 2025, celebrated a remarkable achievement by the Little Rock Trojans baseball team, honoring their historic season. Under the leadership of head coach Chris Curry and his staff, the Trojans finished the regular season with a 27-34 record, showcasing their talent against top-ranked opponents, including a notable 7-3 victory over Ole Miss.

The team’s journey culminated in an impressive performance at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, where they entered as the eighth seed and triumphed, winning five games in four days. This victory secured them the conference championship and a spot in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional Tournament. There, they made history by achieving their first NCAA regional tournament win with a 22-10 victory over the University of Rhode Island.

The Trojans continued to impress, finishing the tournament with three wins out of five games, including victories over Dallas Baptist University and LSU. Angel Cano was recognized as the Baton Rouge Regional Most Outstanding Player, further highlighting the team's exceptional performance.

Judge Barry Hyde presented a proclamation to the team, acknowledging their excellence, sportsmanship, and the pride they brought to Pulaski County. The meeting also included the adoption of minutes from the previous gathering, marking a productive session for the Quorum Court.
