Public works also reported being stretched thin, with personnel and equipment outgrowing their current facilities. Staff members are sharing limited space, with over 40 employees using just two restrooms. The need for additional space is urgent as the city continues to grow.

Animal control services were also mentioned, with officials indicating that they lack adequate storage for essential equipment, forcing them to utilize public workspace for their needs. This highlights a broader issue of insufficient facilities across various departments.

As the city grapples with these challenges, officials are looking ahead to budget discussions and potential capital improvement projects to address the pressing needs of Forney's infrastructure.
