Lynnwood city officials are actively working to enhance safety and accessibility at key intersections, particularly focusing on the large interchange at 30 Fifth. During a recent city council work session, discussions highlighted the potential removal of certain traffic signals and the introduction of raised crosswalks to improve user comfort and safety.

City planners are currently evaluating various options for the 30 Fifth intersection, including the possibility of signalizing it or redirecting traffic to the nearby 140 eighth signal. This initiative aims to streamline traffic flow while ensuring pedestrian safety.
