The IndyGo Board of Directors meeting on July 17, 2025, highlighted significant employee achievements, recognizing outstanding contributions from staff members over the past two months. Jennifer Perz, president and CEO, presented awards for safe driving and employee excellence, emphasizing the importance of safety and teamwork within the organization.

During the meeting, Perz acknowledged the safe drivers for May and June, noting that Patrick Gray, with 19 years of safe driving over his 20-year tenure, and Dexter Davis, who has 22 years of safe driving in his 30 years with the company, were particularly commended for their exemplary records. Each received a National Safety Council patch, pin, and certificate.

The meeting also celebrated the Employees of the Month for June and July. Johnny Root, recognized as the fleet employee of the month, was praised for his teamwork and dedication, consistently servicing over 21 buses each night and assisting in training new employees. Gabriel Emmons, the June operations employee of the month, was noted for his proactive approach and positive attitude, which foster a supportive work environment.

For July, mechanic Alfonso Perez was honored for his exceptional work ethic and willingness to assist others, while coach operator Dwayne Sims was recognized for maintaining a flawless safety record over a decade, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

These awards not only highlight individual achievements but also reflect the organization's commitment to safety and teamwork, reinforcing a culture of excellence within IndyGo.
