In addition to regular services, the ministry intends to host various activities, including youth events and occasional larger gatherings, such as weddings and funerals, which could draw up to 250 attendees. The commission noted that the wastewater calculations did not fully reflect these potential larger events, prompting a call for careful evaluation of the proposed usage levels and their compatibility with the surrounding rural landscape.

The commission also discussed the design of the new multipurpose building, which will feature a barn-like appearance and is limited to 7,200 square feet. The structure is intended to facilitate various community activities, moving some youth programs from the main building to this new space. However, the applicant's request for flexibility in scheduling and group allocations raised concerns about maintaining adequate septic capacity.

As the planning commission prepares to make recommendations to the Board of Zoning Appeals, they are tasked with balancing the ministry's expansion goals with the need to protect the county's environmental and cultural resources.
