Camila Roscoe, an intern for Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, shared a personal perspective on the significance of Disability Pride Month. As a caregiver for family members with disabilities, she highlighted the systemic barriers they face, including accessibility issues and gaps in care. Roscoe called for continued advocacy and actionable steps to improve equity in housing, healthcare, and education for individuals with disabilities.

The board's proclamation of July 25 as Disability Pride Month serves as a reminder of the progress made since the ADA's enactment, while also acknowledging the work that remains to ensure dignity and inclusion for all.
