During the recent Taft City Council meeting held on July 15, 2025, community members came together to honor the memories of two beloved local figures, Jerry Gibby and Floyd Adams. Councilman Kreher shared heartfelt reflections on Jerry Gibby, whose celebration of life was well-attended, demonstrating the deep respect and affection the community holds for him. He mentioned that he now possesses yearbooks dating from 1930 to 2014, which he plans to share with the community, inviting residents to come by and check them out.
