CRA Offers Up To $50K Reimbursement For Local Business Improvements

During the recent Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency meeting, officials discussed a new reimbursement program aimed at enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of commercial properties in the area. The program is open to commercial structures that meet specific criteria, including retail and restaurant use. Eligible improvements can receive reimbursement for up to 80% of costs, with maximum contributions set at $20,000 for properties in the East and $50,000 for those in the Northwest. For larger projects, such as strip shopping centers, the total reimbursement can reach up to $200,000, contingent on the applicant investing a minimum amount in improvements.

Key areas targeted for these enhancements include Atlantic, Federal, and Ocean Boulevards in the East, and MLK Boulevard and Dixie Highway in the Northwest. The agency encourages potential applicants to consult with CRA staff before proceeding with any improvements to ensure their projects align with community goals and objectives.
