Black Desert Resort proposes 24 court Pickleball facility to city commission

The Ivins Planning Commission meeting on July 15, 2025, highlighted an exciting development for local sports enthusiasts: the proposed construction of a new pickleball facility at Black Desert Resort. Coco Head, managing counsel for Black Desert Resort, presented the proposal, emphasizing the facility's strategic location on the western side of the resort. This area has already been cleared and prepared for development, making it an ideal site for the new amenity. The commission was informed that the resort had previously secured a general Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for various developments, including a water park. However, city leadership recommended filing a separate CUP specifically for the pickleball complex to streamline the approval process.
