The Gallatin Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for two major events this fall, with a request for expanded alcohol service approved at a recent city council meeting. During the meeting, representatives from the Chamber highlighted their upcoming Farm to Table dinner on September 20 and the Gusteau Gala on October 18, both set to take place in historic downtown Gallatin.

Chamber representatives confirmed that they had already received approval from the beer board to serve alcohol at these events. However, they sought additional permission to serve liquor, emphasizing that both events are ticketed, private gatherings where beverages are included in the ticket price. Licensed bartenders will be on hand, and the events are fully insured.

The council voted in favor of the request, with five members supporting the motion and two abstentions. This approval marks a significant step for the Chamber as they prepare for these community-focused events.

Additionally, the meeting featured the introduction of Paul Vaughn, a Gallatin native who has returned to the area after completing his education at the University of Tennessee. Vaughn, who previously interned with the Chamber, will now work full-time, bringing fresh energy and experience back to the local organization.

These developments signal a vibrant fall season for Gallatin, with the Chamber poised to enhance community engagement through its events.
