Teton County honors employees with service awards including Patty Rocha and Diana Eden

The Teton County government meeting held on July 14, 2025, focused on recognizing the dedicated service of county employees through a series of awards. The meeting began with the presentation of five-year service awards, acknowledging the contributions of several staff members across various departments.

Mario Jimenez from the Facilities Department and Naeum Marino, an IT specialist, were both honored for their five years of service. Judy Nichol from the fairgrounds and general services was also recognized, although she was not present at the meeting.

Rachel Wheeler from the Health Department presented an award to Beverly Shore, who was unable to attend. The Teton County Library was well represented, with Stella Trost honoring James Kimo Silva for his five years of service as the IT administrator. Trost also acknowledged Diana Eden, the communications coordinator, who has served 15 years but was on vacation during the meeting. Eden was praised for her efforts in enhancing the library's outreach and communication.

The meeting continued with the recognition of Patty Rocha, who received a 25-year service award. Rocha was commended for her extensive community engagement, including bilingual storytime and various educational initiatives. Kurt Plagg, another 25-year honoree, was recognized for his long-standing contributions to the library, although he was absent from the meeting.

Heather Overholser, the director of public works, presented a ten-year service award to Amy Ramage, the county engineer, who was also unable to attend. Overholser highlighted Ramage's professionalism and her ability to communicate complex engineering projects effectively.

Dave Gustafson, the road and levy manager, concluded the awards by honoring Tony Havel for his contributions to the Road and Levy department, noting his exceptional project management skills.

The meeting underscored Teton County's commitment to recognizing the hard work and dedication of its employees, fostering a culture of appreciation within the community.
