Hayward Airport project completes runway renovation in 35 days amid favorable weather

Sawyer County's recent government meeting highlighted significant developments in local public works, particularly at the airport. The meeting, held on July 12, 2025, revealed that the runway project, initially expected to take two months, was completed in just 35 days. This swift turnaround was attributed to favorable weather conditions and the dedication of engineers and contractors, showcasing the community's commitment to efficient infrastructure improvements.
