Engineers propose floodplain improvements for Mary's Creek in Benbrook

A significant development project aimed at reducing flood risks in Benbrook is underway, with new hydrology studies promising to improve safety for local residents. During a recent Planning and Zoning meeting, experts presented updated findings on Mary's Creek, addressing community concerns about increased runoff due to development.

The project involves a comprehensive review of outdated flood models, some dating back to the 1980s. Engineers have utilized advanced technology and methodologies to reassess flow patterns and land use changes, ensuring that the data reflects current conditions.
