City board declares properties at Stonegate Court and Arrowview Drive nuisances

During the recent meeting of the Huber Heights Property Maintenance Review Board, significant actions were taken to address property maintenance violations that impact community safety and aesthetics.

The board unanimously declared two residential properties as nuisances due to violations of the property maintenance code. The first property, located at 5822 Stonegate Court, was found to have accumulated tree debris and trash, creating a breeding ground for vermin. Despite attempts to contact the property owner, Kurt Lofmark, there has been no response. The board voted to have the city contractor remove the debris and bring the property into compliance.

Similarly, the property at 4941 Arrowview Drive, owned by Christopher Williams, was cited for having detached gutters that posed a potential safety hazard. Like the previous case, there was no communication from the owner regarding the violation. The board also voted to declare this property a nuisance and ordered the city contractor to address the issue.

In a more positive turn, the board dismissed a case involving the property at 6007 Blackford Way, owned by Khalil Khaliluba Terso Nona, after confirming that the property had been brought into compliance.

Another case discussed involved a commercial property at 6640 Brant Pike, owned by R Didi, LLC. The property was found to have severely degraded asphalt, with potholes and crumbling surfaces. The board noted the lack of communication from the owner and indicated that if declared a nuisance, the city would take action to repair the property.

These decisions reflect the board's commitment to maintaining community standards and ensuring that properties do not detract from the neighborhood's safety and appearance.
