Delray Beach city officials have approved several budget transfers aimed at enhancing public services and infrastructure during the City Commission meeting held on July 8, 2025. The most significant decision involves reallocating funds to support a new citywide janitorial services contract, which has seen a 32% increase in costs compared to the previous agreement. This adjustment is essential to ensure that the city can maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across its facilities.

In addition to the janitorial services, the commission approved a $40,000 transfer from the garage fund to cover increased repair costs for city fleet vehicles. This move reflects the city's commitment to maintaining its transportation resources effectively.
