DeKalb Atlanta Senior Center advocates for new facility at county meeting

He criticized the lack of communication from local officials regarding funding for mobile service cameras and highlighted a recent violent incident in the area. Musgrave described the deteriorating conditions, including drug-related activities, and called for immediate action from the commissioners to address these pressing issues.

Larry Foster, a long-time resident and civic activist, shifted the focus to positive developments at PDK Airport. He commended the board for approving landing fees for itinerant aircraft, a move he deemed long overdue. Foster noted that this decision would help maintain the airport and contribute to local revenue, reflecting a significant increase in ad valorem taxes over recent years due to improved oversight.

The meeting concluded with a call for further engagement from the commissioners on community safety and infrastructure improvements.
