Local Art Foundation unveils plans for unique HomeGood and barbecue space

A bold vision for revitalizing Fort Pierce's downtown area emerged during the recent FPRA meeting, as plans for a new artsy and unique space took center stage. The proposal includes transforming a building into a vibrant HomeGoods and gallery space, alongside an old Florida barbecue restaurant, aiming to attract a younger crowd with its kitschy and fun aesthetic.

The developers emphasized the importance of creating an inviting atmosphere that stands out rather than contributing to the blight often associated with the area. "We want it to be artsy and unique and interesting so that when people drive by, they see it as cool and might want to come in," one developer stated, highlighting the goal of making the space appealing and engaging.
