Highland Park Commission reviews request for garage reconstruction by María Reyes

During a recent meeting of the San Antonio Adjustment Board, discussions centered around a proposal for reconstructing a garage that has raised safety and compliance concerns. The property owner, María Reyes, presented her case for rebuilding the garage, which is currently in poor condition and poses potential risks due to its proximity to neighboring structures.

Reyes explained that she acquired the property in 2018, and the garage was already present, reportedly built in 2015. She expressed a desire to replace the existing structure with a more secure, metal garage that would comply with safety standards. Board members raised questions about the garage's design and its impact on the property and surrounding area.
