In a recent operations report, Deputy Chief of Operations Vic Worsch highlighted the San Francisco Fire Department's impressive performance during July, emphasizing their aggressive yet safe approach to firefighting. Worsch commended the efforts of the Chief of CD3 and the Assistant Chiefs (ACs), noting that all fires were contained to a first alarm, showcasing the department's effectiveness in managing emergencies.
The report detailed a series of successful rescues, including a cliff rescue, a surf rescue, and multiple bay rescues, totaling six lives saved. Notably, the department also executed technical rescues, including the safe retrieval of two window washers and an extrication from a bar train, where they successfully rescued an individual. Additionally, four auto extrications were performed, with three individuals saved.
Worsch expressed pride in the team's performance, stating, "Everything's been working out really well," and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all personnel involved.
