Barnegat High School celebrates historic athletic achievements and coach recognitions

The Barnegat Township School District held its monthly Board of Education meeting on April 29, 2025, where the spotlight shone brightly on the district's athletic achievements. Athletic Director John Germano took center stage to celebrate a historic winter season for Barnegat High School sports, marking a significant milestone in the school's athletic history.

Germano proudly announced that for the first time, the girls' basketball, boys' basketball, and wrestling teams all secured division titles in the same year. This unprecedented achievement highlights the growing strength and competitiveness of Barnegat's athletic programs. Additionally, the girls' cheerleading team continued its legacy of excellence by winning another state championship, bringing their total to four out of five years.
