As the fall sports season wraps up, winter sports are gearing up to begin on November 25. In addition, Power Up Night is scheduled for October 30, where students and parents can explore various educational sessions across classrooms, focusing on topics like sports and local opportunities.
The middle school is currently celebrating Red Ribbon Week with the theme "Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free," running until October 30. Meanwhile, elementary students have also joined in the spirit by wearing red and sports gear to promote drug-free living.
At the high school, seniors recently enjoyed the chance for instant college admissions to several institutions, including SUNY Duchess and Mount Saint Mary's College. The annual college fair held from October 14 to 18 allowed students to connect with college representatives, further enhancing their post-graduation plans.
The Spanish Honor Society hosted a successful cultural event on October 18, featuring music and festivities, highlighted by a jalapeno eating contest that saw four winners each consume seven jalapenos. Additionally, a new student luncheon on October 22 introduced newcomers to faculty and clubs, fostering a sense of community.
