Assembly member Stephanie echoed these sentiments, sharing the impact of national parks in her district, including the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which attracts over 17 million visitors annually. She noted that in 2022, these parks contributed $1.75 billion to local economies and supported over 12,000 jobs. Yet, she cautioned that without stable federal funding, essential services could be compromised, leading to reduced ranger programs and diminished visitor experiences.

Both lawmakers called for a united front to advocate for the necessary resources to keep California's national parks thriving and accessible. Their passionate appeals aim to send a clear message to Washington: invest in the future of America's public lands.
