A major transportation connection in Linden City is set to enhance safety and accessibility, following a recent meeting of the Utah Transportation Commission. City Administrator Adam Cowie detailed the acquisition of over six acres of land behind the Fellowship Bible Church, a partnership that has been in place for two decades. This acquisition is crucial for completing a long-planned corridor that will link to Orem and Utah Valley University.

The project, which has been on the city’s master plan since 1968, aims to address safety concerns at the intersection of 200 North and State Street. Currently, drivers face dangerous conditions when attempting left turns at this location, particularly due to high-speed traffic coming down a hill. The new connection will create a signalized intersection, allowing safer access to the business park and reducing the risks associated with left turns.

Cowie emphasized the importance of monitoring the intersection after the new road is completed, indicating that further improvements may be necessary based on traffic patterns. The commission unanimously supported the project, recognizing it as a beneficial collaboration that addresses both safety and community needs. The anticipated completion of this connection marks a significant step forward in Linden City's transportation infrastructure.
