Miami Beach officials have taken significant steps toward revitalizing the historic Deauville Hotel site, aiming to transform it into a public asset that benefits the community. During a Special City Commission Meeting on June 29, 2025, city leaders discussed plans to reduce the height of the proposed new buildings and enhance public access to the beach, marking a shift in the project’s design based on community feedback.

Architect Eduardo Ruiz from Foster and Partners presented the revised plans, which now feature two towers with a maximum height of 300 feet, down from an initial proposal of 437 feet.
