Petaluma City Schools has welcomed two new principals who will lead their respective schools starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. Christy McCullough has been appointed as the principal of Grant Elementary School, while Latricia Donahue will take the helm at McKinley Elementary School and Petaluma Accelerated Charter School.

Christy McCullough brings over 15 years of experience in elementary education, previously serving as principal at Chanel Valley Academy and leading a K-8 charter school in the Ukiah Unified School District. Known for her inclusive leadership style and commitment to fostering a thriving school culture, McCullough aims to create safe and supportive learning environments. She holds multiple credentials and degrees from Sonoma State University and is trained in social emotional learning and project-based learning. McCullough expressed her excitement about joining a student-centered community and looks forward to building meaningful relationships within the school.

Latricia Donahue, with over 25 years in education, has a rich background that includes roles as a Spanish teacher and various leadership positions. She holds degrees from the University of Central Florida and CSU Stanislaus. Donahue's leadership philosophy is shaped by her experiences growing up in a military family, emphasizing empathy and cultural exchange. She is passionate about empowering students and creating inspiring learning environments. Donahue is eager to collaborate with staff and families to foster academic excellence and innovation at her new schools.
