The tool highlights a "high injury network," pinpointing the most dangerous roads based on factors such as speed limits, road types, and existing pedestrian infrastructure. Task force members emphasized the importance of understanding transportation needs in neighborhoods with limited vehicle access, particularly those with higher poverty rates and populations lacking English proficiency.

In a significant engagement effort, over 600 residents participated in surveys and public events, providing insights into their transportation preferences and safety concerns. Key findings revealed that while most respondents currently rely on personal vehicles, there is a growing interest in biking and public transit if conditions improve. Safety concerns were predominantly linked to poor pavement, distracted driving, and inadequate pedestrian infrastructure.
