The Clay County Animal Shelter showcased several adoptable pets in their latest presentation, highlighting the unique personalities and needs of each animal.

First up was Mojo, a 4-year-old neutered male mixed breed dog weighing 63 pounds. Mojo is described as a shy but sweet dog who takes his time to warm up to new people. He enjoys playing with stuffed toys and walks well on a leash. Mojo is heartworm negative and is looking for a patient companion, whether human or canine, to help him come out of his shell.

Next, the shelter introduced Agnes, a lively 9-month-old spayed female dog weighing 34 pounds. Agnes is full of energy and loves to chase toys and make new friends. Although she may be a bit shy initially, she quickly becomes affectionate and playful. Agnes is also heartworm negative and is ready to bring joy and a bit of mischief to her new home.

The presentation also featured two cats. Scully, a 5-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair, weighs 11 pounds and is known for his calm demeanor and love for snuggles. He enjoys being petted and seeks companionship, making him an ideal couch buddy.

Lastly, Binks, a 5-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair weighing 15 pounds, was introduced. Binks is described as a charming and gentle cat, great with children and other pets. He is laid back and litter box trained, making him a wonderful addition to any home. Binks came to the shelter with his sister, Maple, and while they can be adopted separately, the shelter encourages adopting them together for a bonus experience.

The shelter invites the community to meet these animals and consider adding a furry friend to their family. Each pet is ready to bring love and companionship to their new home.
