The City of Upland is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual "Light Up the Night" event, set to dazzle residents with an array of attractions and entertainment. Recreation and Community Services Manager Jessica Escoto unveiled exciting details during the City Council meeting on June 23, 2025, highlighting new features aimed at enhancing the community experience.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the event, which will include additional shaded areas for guests, 30 diverse food and merchandise vendors, and an impressive lineup of vintage and modern aircraft on display. For adult attendees, the event will expand its offerings with frozen margaritas and daiquiris at the newly introduced Patriotic Pub.

The beloved pop vision band will return, performing an extended set that keeps the festivities alive for 30 minutes after the fireworks show. Families can look forward to traditional stage games and a revamped kids zone featuring new attractions like a zipline and a pirate ship swing, culminating in an 18-minute fireworks spectacular.

Tickets are currently available for $15 at City Hall and local recreation facilities, with prices set to rise to $20 after June 30. Escoto hinted at potential promotional codes for discounts leading up to the event, encouraging residents to stay tuned to social media for updates.

In a bid to ensure accessibility, the city has partnered with local businesses like Lowe's and Walmart for additional parking options, while also providing accessible parking on-site. Escoto expressed gratitude for the volunteers who play a crucial role in making the event successful, inviting students to participate for service hours.
