The Friends of the Library will host a table selling various glow-in-the-dark and patriotic items, all priced at $5, encouraging community members to participate in the festivities.

Next on the agenda was the annual book sale, set for July 19, with a presale event for Friends of the Library members on July 18 from 5 to 7 PM. The board emphasized that scanners would not be allowed during the presale to prevent aggressive book resellers from disrupting the event. The book sale will feature local vendor Shoemaker and Heart, who will provide coffee and pastries, further supporting local businesses.

Additionally, the board announced a mini golf event in the library on August 9 from 6 to 9 PM. This event, which was well-received last year, will feature creatively designed mini golf courses set up throughout the library, providing a fun indoor activity as the school year begins.

The meeting concluded with a reminder of the contributions made by the Friends of the Library, which helped fund various library enhancements, including the play wall.
