This project will also explore a potential pedestrian crossing on Route 28. Funding will come from the Transportation Alternative Program and revenue sharing for FY 2029 and FY 2030, with the application deadline again set for September 15.

A significant highlight was the proposed railway trail, a 3-mile multi-jurisdictional trail that will connect Downtown Manassas to the Bull Run Trail in Fairfax County. This project aims to link various community spaces and parks, with a proposed funding source of 70% from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority for FY 2031. An additional public meeting will be held to refine the project alignment before the August 1 application deadline.

The Knoxville Trail project was also introduced, which will create a 0.6-mile shared path on the north side of Knoxville Road, connecting to existing bike lanes. This project is set to utilize original surface transportation program funding for FY 2032, with construction anticipated in the winter of 2025.
