William Tennant High School is celebrating a series of impressive achievements and upcoming events, as highlighted during the recent CSD School Board meeting on May 13, 2025. Notably, the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at the school saw 27 members qualify for the state competition, with four students advancing to nationals. This accomplishment underscores the dedication and talent of the student body.

In addition to academic achievements, the school has been active in promoting student engagement through various events. Recent highlights include a successful science day, a film festival showcasing student filmmakers, and a fine arts festival that celebrated artistic talents. Upcoming events include AP exams, a senior prom, and the Mr. Tennant competition, which features candidates from diverse backgrounds.

The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) also reported significant milestones, including the placement of over 130 students in local businesses through its work-based education program. This initiative strengthens ties between students and the community while providing valuable real-world experience. Furthermore, 15 seniors recently passed their Patient Care Technician certification, marking a significant step toward careers in healthcare.

Recognition of student achievements was a key theme of the meeting. Three students from the Centennial Art Advertising Design program received accolades for creating a logo for the Bucks County Veterans Treatment Program, symbolizing community support and resilience. The MBIT senior recognition ceremony is set for June 3, where graduates will be honored for their accomplishments.

In a personal moment, senior Nick Mento was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his contributions to the student body and his active participation in school governance. Mento, who is set to major in political science at American University, shared his experiences and aspirations, reflecting the commitment of students to both academic excellence and community service.
