Notices were sent to 23 property owners within a 200-foot radius of the site, with only one response received in favor of the project. This indicates a generally supportive community sentiment towards the proposed renovations. The staff concluded that the addition is sensitive to the historic character of the home and does not adversely affect the adjacent landmark property.

Tom Richards, the contractor for the project, provided further details during the meeting. He confirmed that the renovations would not alter the roofline and that the existing siding would be matched to maintain aesthetic consistency. The plan includes enclosing the back porch and extending the kitchen and bathroom areas while ensuring structural integrity.
