The Southern York County School District celebrated significant achievements during its final school board meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year on June 19, 2025. The meeting commenced with the approval of the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting, both of which passed without opposition.

Student representative Caleb highlighted a light month for school activities, noting the recent graduation ceremony and wishing the graduates success in their future endeavors, whether in college, the armed forces, or the workforce. He also mentioned the upcoming fall sports season, with preseason training and physicals underway.

Superintendent Dr. Reppert echoed Caleb's sentiments, congratulating the 2025 graduates and acknowledging the hard work of staff and security during the graduation event. He also recognized Colin Scribe, a student who graduated from the York Adams Academy, and thanked Mr. Poole for his contributions to the district as he concluded his tenure.

A notable highlight of the meeting was the district's fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association. Dr. Reppert reported that the district raised over $26,000 this year alone, bringing the total contributions over 25 years to $232,000. Southern Elementary School was particularly commended for ranking eighth out of 124 schools in York Adams County for its fundraising efforts.

The meeting underscored the district's commitment to student success and community engagement, setting a positive tone as the school year concludes and preparations for the next academic year begin.
