The North Providence School Committee celebrated the dedication of volunteer coaches during their recent meeting, highlighting the significant impact these individuals have on student athletes. Vice Chair De Silva and committee member Jean Picard led the initiative, presenting citations of recognition to several coaches who have gone above and beyond for their teams.

Among the honorees was Nick Feal, a volunteer coach for the North Providence High School baseball team. The committee expressed heartfelt appreciation for his commitment, with one member sharing personal anecdotes about Feal's long-standing connection to the community. "There's a lot of great word out there in the community and from a team and a lot of love for you," the member stated, emphasizing the positive influence Feal has had on the players.

In addition to Feal, the committee recognized Dominic Panarelli, another dedicated volunteer who also serves as a substitute teacher at the high school. The meeting also acknowledged contributions from coaches of the boys' basketball team, including Josh Macera and Matthew Rohilla, further showcasing the strong support network for student athletes in North Providence.
