Speedway announces 2025 summer concert series at Meadowood Park

Under the warm glow of the summer sun, Tammy Smith, the parks director for the town of Speedway, stood in the picturesque Meadowood Park, ready to unveil an exciting lineup for the 2025 Summer Concert Series. With the gentle rustle of leaves and the laughter of families in the background, she announced that the concerts would take place on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 PM, starting June 26.

This year’s series promises a vibrant mix of musical talent, kicking off with the Gene Markowitz Band. The lineup continues with a special performance by the Indiana National Guard's 38th Infantry Division Band on July 3, celebrating the Army's 250th anniversary. Other featured acts include Damaged Goods on July 10, Seoul Street on July 17, The Last Alpaca on July 24, Tres Amigos on July 31, and the Party Band on August 7. The series will conclude with a performance by the Serenade Jazz Orchestra on August 14.

Smith expressed gratitude to the sponsors who make these concerts possible, including the Speedway Lions Club, Wessler Engineering, Alliance Insurance Company, the Curtis and Jennifer Miller family, and Funday's Ice Cream and Sweets.
