Her resilience in overcoming personal challenges, including the loss of her biological parents, was highlighted as a testament to her character and determination.

Mayor Linda Hudson issued a proclamation in recognition of Hollis, urging citizens to celebrate the accomplishments of the youth in Fort Pierce.
