The project aims to enhance community recreation with outdoor amenities such as fire pits, volleyball courts, and additional recreational features.

The city has taken steps to ensure public awareness of the project, with a notice of the public hearing published in the Tri City Herald and mailed to nearby property owners. The proposal requires a special permit under Pasco Municipal Code, as dance halls and nightclubs are subject to specific regulations. The applicant has committed to providing 50 off-street parking stalls, although a total of 109 are required. To address this shortfall, the city-owned parking lot nearby, which has over 800 stalls, is expected to accommodate additional parking needs, pending a formal agreement.

During the meeting, Paul Knutson, representing the applicant, confirmed that they accept the conditions outlined in the staff report and are eager to proceed with the project. The hearing examiner will make a final determination on the application within the next ten working days.
