County board denies zoning request but sports complex construction proceeds

"If this is denied, I want everybody to understand the sports complex can still go on because it's already been voted on," Kessner explained. The board ultimately voted on the zoning request, which failed to pass. This decision, however, does not halt the construction of the sports complex, which is expected to include facilities for high school swim meets, basketball, and public access to pickleball courts.
