The Prosper Parks and Recreation Department has announced significant upgrades to the 407 Recreation Center, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics for community members. During a recent government meeting, officials highlighted the completion of new flooring and wall painting, which are expected to improve the overall experience for visitors.

Originally opened in 2019, the 407 Rec Center has undergone various changes to better serve the community. The addition of new flooring replaces the old carpet, which had become worn and difficult to maintain despite regular cleaning efforts. Recreation Coordinator Cecily Fannin played a key role in advocating for these improvements, collaborating with town facility management to secure funding from available Capital Improvement Program (CIP) dollars.

The new flooring not only enhances the center's appearance but also opens up more programming opportunities, making it easier to host activities such as Zumba and dance classes. The upgrades are designed to create a more inviting atmosphere while simplifying maintenance tasks for staff.

In addition to the flooring, the center has also received a fresh coat of paint, further revitalizing the space. These enhancements reflect the town's commitment to providing quality recreational facilities for its residents, ensuring that the 407 Rec Center remains a valuable resource for community engagement and activity.
