A significant upgrade is on the horizon for Lambert Park in Hooksett, as the Town Council has approved the installation of a commercial charcoal grill. The decision, made during the June 11 meeting, aims to enhance the park's amenities and encourage community engagement.

Andy Janus, representing the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, presented the proposal, highlighting the progress made at Lambert Park, including the installation of a pavilion, benches, and picnic tables, thanks to local volunteers and organizations. The grill, which will cost approximately $410, will be funded from the Parks and Recreation operating budget, with an additional $15 allocated for concrete bags. The Department of Public Works (DPW) will provide the necessary labor for installation.

Councilor Walczak made the motion to approve the purchase, emphasizing the grill's potential to improve the park experience for residents. However, concerns were raised about the need for signage to remind users to carry out their charcoal after use, ensuring the park remains clean and enjoyable for all.
