The McFarland School District held a graduation ceremony on June 8, 2025, celebrating the achievements of its students as they prepare to embark on their next educational journeys. The event highlighted the diverse paths chosen by graduates, with many students expressing gratitude to their families and teachers for their support throughout high school.
Among the graduates, Nathan will pursue aerospace engineering at Iowa State University, while Mia Isabelle Ahrens plans to study finance at UW La Crosse. Spencer Douglas Elf is set to attend the University of Iowa for finance and will also run cross country and track. Nicholas Alexander Altenberger will study accounting at UW Whitewater.
Several students shared heartfelt thanks during the ceremony. Abigail Elizabeth Artis expressed appreciation for her friends and mother, while Cohen George Bumgarten acknowledged the support of the McFarland School District staff. Other graduates, such as Sarah Bendada and Ava Catherine Binsfield, will study biochemistry and political science, respectively, at prominent universities.
The ceremony also featured students pursuing vocational paths, such as Boston Charles Beckwith, who will begin an electrical apprenticeship, and Noah Christopher Blakesley, who plans to become an electrician.
